Global biodiversity report released in Paris
The seventh session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) Plenary will take place from 29 April to 4 May 2019 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris. At this event, IPBES will present its Global Assessment Report on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services to representatives of 130 States.

France and Sri Lanka join hands for Oceans protection and Blue Economy
The Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and its partners - Biodiversity Sri Lanka, MIND, IUCN, the French Development Agency, the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies and the Alliance Française de Kotte in Colombo - organized a high level seminar to raise awareness and trigger action regarding Ocean’s protection and Blue economy in Sri Lanka.
