Bastille Day bringing the French Spring Festival to an end!
Organized jointly by the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and the Alliance française de Kotte, the French Spring Festival has known a growing success. For its 8th edition, the French Spring Festival has achieved its most beautiful objective: to bring together an ever-growing and varied audience.
Thanks to the support of the Sri Lankan Ministry of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs and all institutional partners and sponsors, the festival has been able to offer large-scale events, bringing together a diverse audience around many disciplines: 13 events, 8 French, Sri Lankan and Indian artists, 10 different venues with nearly 3,000 spectators. -
French artist Philippe Baudelocque for French Spring Festival 2019
As part of the French Spring Festival, the Embassy of France and Alliance française de Kotte have had the pleasure to welcome the artist Philippe Baudelocque in Colombo. With his famous white oil pastel, he has invested three walls around the city painted in black for the occasion. His beautiful pieces of art can be admired at Park street, Ecole française internationale de Colombo (EFIC) and Alliance française de Kotte.

Jazz Concert by Octave et Anatole on July 12th at the Hilton
To bring French Spring Festival 2019 to an end, the Hilton Colombo will welcome two guitarists from the French collective of young musicians Octave and Anatole. They will share their repertoire, originally based on gypsy jazz (Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grapelli) and American swing standards (Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Fats Waller ...).

COSMOS, a piano concert by Shani Diluka on July 9th at Bishop’s College
French Spring Festival 2019 has the pleasure to welcome Shani Diluka for an exceptional piano concert at Bishop’s College. She will be accompanied by Indian musicians Sahana Banerjee at sitar and Prabhu Edouard at tablas. They will perform Cosmos, a project which explores the links between Beethoven and Indian music whose mysticism has historically inspired the Viennese composer.

French Spring Festival 2018 - A successful 7th edition and a big thank to sponsors and partners
The French Spring Festival in Sri Lanka has grown. Organized by the Embassy of France and the Alliance Française de Kotte in Colombo, the festival has offered larger-scale shows in several cities across the country: 17 events, 12 French artists, 11 different venues, over 3,000 spectators.

French Spring is coming! Multidisciplinary Festival from June 14th to July 14th 2018
The French Spring Festival will shine in Sri Lanka between June 14th and July 14th for its 7th edition. The French Embassy in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and the Alliance Française of Kotte organized Tuesday the 11th of July a conference on tourism in France and in Sri Lanka as part of the French Spring Festival 2017.
