AIC Campus Launch Scholarship Program to teach French Language to Sri Lankan Students
AIC Campus joins hands with the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and the Alliance Française de Kotte in Colombo to develop the teaching of French language in Sri Lanka. In this regards AIC Campus will offer free French language courses to a group of selected students.
These students will receive a scholarship from AIC Campus to complete the French language course up to Level A1. 100 hours of language coaching will be provided by a native French teacher from the Alliance Française de Kotte in Colombo, the official and unique institution dedicated to French language and Culture in the city. The language classes will be conducted at the AIC premises.
The Launch Ceremony of this unique Program was held on March 14th at the Alliance Française de Kotte. The occasion was graced by the presence of:

Minister Chandima WEERAKKODY stated “Sri Lanka as a Nation is in the forefront in terms of achievements in the field of education in the region, having witnessed a long period of civil war for over three decades. The steady progress made in the field of education show the resilient nature of our society even at the worst times and what should be prioritized to meet the challenges”. He added that “France, being one of the best destinations for higher education and also offering very affordable higher education options to Sri Lankan students, the French language scholarship program initiated by AIC Campus and the support and cooperation extended by the Embassy of France and the Alliance Française de Kotte is commendable and I am confident that students will get the maximum benefit of this great endeavor”.

It is the 4th most popular destination in the world for international students, with internationally recognized degrees in engineering, business, architecture, design, digital technologies and many more, taught in French and in English. This partnership is a great opportunity to raise awareness on those possibilities. Speaking French grants access to many opportunities and we are glad to help Sri Lankan students to reach it.”
Dr. Gishan SUMANASIRI, Executive Director/CEO of AIC Campus, stated that “The French Language Scholarship program, the very first of this nature, will provide Sri Lankan students access to French Higher Education system, widely known as one of the best education systems in the world due to practicality, affordability and innovativeness. The Alliance Française de Kotte welcomed the initiative of the American International Campus for their benevolent collaboration to positively radiate great values of French people, their culture and civilization.
This initiative represents a remarkable continuation for AIC Campus that pioneered Higher Education from France by introducing the first Engineering Transfer program in Partnership with ESIGELEC Graduate School of Engineering one of the oldest Engineering School (118 years old). AIC Campus was also instrumental in launching the first and only Business Degree completion and Transfer option in collaboration with IPAC Business School of France.
This partnership is a cooperation success between Sri Lanka and France, working together to broaden opportunities of Sri Lankan people.
