Hurry to your pens! 5th Edition of the LabCitoyen contest
Designed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institut Français, LabCitoyen, an international youth forum, aims to promote the French language as a tool for debate and action on the major issues of our time. The fifth edition of the LabCitoyen programme will focus on “Health and Human Rights”, and will allow the winners to tackle the questions of rights, access, dignity and solutions, all in relation to health as a human right through conferences, debates, cultural visits and workshops during a 10-day trip to France.
So get to your pens and send an essay in FRENCH of less than 500 words on the above topic (deadline: 18th March) in Word format to firstname.lastname@example.org
Participants are invited to discuss in their essay the diversity of issues and challenges pertaining to health and its relationship with human rights.
The 5 finalists will present a 15 minute oral presentation on Thursday 28th April 2016 at the Alliance Française de Kotte.
The winner of the competition will be invited by the Embassy of France to Sri Lanka and the Maldives and the Institut Français, and with the support of La Maison des Cultures du Monde, to a 10 days all-expenses-paid trip to Paris from 3 to 11 July 2016.
How can I take part?
- Be a Sri Lankan or Maldivian citizen
- Be aged between 18 and 25
- Have a good proficiency in French (B1 level)
- Be interested in the field of Human rights/Health (experience in health is an advantage)
