Killing of 17 "Action Contre la Faim " aid workers in 2006. Ambassador’s statement.
Answering a question asked by a Sri Lankan newspaper, Christine Robichon, Ambassador of France to Sri Lanka and the Madives made the following statement, on 18th July 2013
" The August 2006 killing of the 17 aid workers employed by the Paris based organisation Action contre la faim ( ACF ) is an important issue for the people and the government of France. It will remain a matter of serious concern as long as it will stay unpunished. I have a continuous and cordial dialogue with the Attorney General, who keeps me informed of the work of this office regarding this matter. I am looking forward to see a breakthrough before the end of my mission in Sri Lanka."
