Living in France - the booklet
The 7th March 2016 Act on Foreigners’ rights in France has reformed the welcoming and integration package of first-time immigrants who want to permanently settle in France. It strengthens integration measures for Legal Immigrants. Several provisions already came into force on 1st July 2016 to guarantee a better reception and facilitate the swift integration of newcomers, who now engage in a 5-year personalized program for Republican Integration.
An information booklet, translated in several languages, can be accessed from the country of origin on the websites of the Ministry of the Interior, the French Office for Immigration and Integration (OFII), French Embassies and Consulates. This booklet provides useful information to Foreigners so they can prepare their installation: values and principles of French society and all administrative procedures to be accomplished before departure and upon arrival in France.
