French Ambassador Jean-François Pactet presents credentials to the Sri Lankan President [fr]
His Excellency Mr. Jean-François Pactet presented his credentials as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the President of Democratic Socialist of Republic of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe on 11th of November 2022 following an official ceremony held at the Presidential secretariat.
Prior to his current assignment in Colombo, HE Mr Jean-François Pactet had served in various capacities in the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. His last position was in Paris headquarters as Deputy Director for Culture, Education and Research, from 2019 to 2022. A career diplomat, the Ambassador Pactet has previously served as a political counsellor at the Permanent Representation of France to NATO in Brussel and the Embassy of France in Washington. In a distinguished career spanning over many years, HE Mr. Pactet was also a visiting fellow at Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington from 2012 to 2014. Jean-François Pactet is a former alumni of French National School of Administration.
